Description

No. 14 Shellfield Road is a house, probably built in the late 18th century, with some alterations. It features cream painted brick, a slate roof, and a brick chimney. The house has a single-depth, three-unit plan, with the first unit set back and a parallel addition at the rear.

The exterior is a single storey with a three-window range, which includes 20th-century three-light casements. There is a ridge chimney located at the junction of the first and second units, and a gabled porch at the rear.

The interior has not been inspected. This house is part of a group of similar cottages on Shellfield Road, all of which have been altered but still represent the pre-industrial character of the area.
