Description
This is a house, built as part of a terraced row around 1826-30. It is located in Crosby. The house has a double-fronted design and is two storeys high, with three windows visible from the front. It is constructed of painted stucco with a slate roof and rendered chimneys on either side. It has a double-depth plan, with a rear extension.
A simple verandah with wooden posts and arch-bracing to a glazed roof is attached to the front. The central doorway has a panelled door, a plain overlight, and a first-floor window above it within a shouldered architrave featuring a keystone. The left and right sides have two-storey bay windows. The left bay window is rectangular, and the right bay window is canted. Both bay windows have French windows at ground floor and flat roofs. The interior has not been inspected.
The house adjoins number 28 on its right and number 30 on its left. It is part of a group of listed buildings that includes those in Adelaide Terrace, Bath Street, Beach Lawn and Marine Terrace, and is situated within the Waterloo Conservation Area of Crosby.
