Description
This cart shed, located on the south side of the farmyard to the southwest of Meols Hall, is probably from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a single-pitched graduated slate roof. The shed has a rectangular 7-bay plan oriented east-west, forming the southern boundary of the farmyard and connecting to the southern ends of the adjacent barns. The structure is supported by square brick piers, and the roof trusses include tie beams made from reused floor beams, which may have originated from parts of Meols Hall that were dismantled in the 18th century.
