Description
Cockle Dick's Nurseries is a house, probably from the 18th century, that has been altered and enlarged. Originally constructed with a clamstaff-and-daub technique, it was rebuilt in brick around 1900. The main range features a straw-thatched roof, while the extension has a slate roof. The building has a single-depth, four-bay plan and is a single storey with a five-window range. The main range includes a central gabled wooden and glazed porch, casement windows with four and three lights to the left, and two lights to the right. There is a ridge chimney aligned with the porch and a raised coped gable to the left with a gable chimney. The extension on the right has a three-light casement window. The interior has not been inspected.
