House, forming part of terraced row; with attached verandah. c1826-30; altered. White-painted render with black-painted quoining and dressings, slate roof with rendered chimneys to left and right. Double-depth double-fronted plan with back extension. 2 storeys and 3 windows, symmetrical. 3-bay verandah with standards and shallow triangular-arched friezes of elegant geometric latticed open-work, felted roof. The ground floor has a tall square-headed doorway with panelled door and plain overlight, flanked by large canted bay windows with slender glazing bars forming 4 horizontal rectangular panes per leaf; the 1st floor has windows with shouldered surrounds [?sashed without glazing bars or top-hung casements?]. INTERIOR: not inspected. Adjoins No.19 to the right (qv) and No.21 to the left (qv). All the listed buildings in Marine Crescent, together with those in Adelaide Terrace, Bath Street, Beach Lawn and Marine Terrace, form a group in the Waterloo Conservation Area of Crosby.
