Description

A row of six houses, likely dating from the late 18th century, has been altered over time. Numbers 8 and 10 are built of red brick in an English garden wall bond (five courses plus one), while numbers 4 and 6 are covered in scored stucco, and numbers 12 and 14 are roughcast and painted white. The houses have a linear, double-depth plan set at right angles to the lane, and each has a single frontage.

The two-storey façade has a six-window range. Doorways are located to the right of numbers 4 to 10, and to the left of numbers 12 and 14, all now featuring 20th-century porches. Number 6 has a glazed lean-to that covers both the doorway and a significantly enlarged window. At ground floor, numbers 8 and 12 have segmental-headed, three-light sliding sash windows. Number 8 has horizontal glazing bars, while number 12 has diamond leading. The other ground-floor windows have been altered, with number 4 featuring a small 20th-century three-sided bow. The first floor has segmental-headed, two-light windows; numbers 8, 10, and 12 have sliding sashes, while numbers 4 and 6 have casements. Number 14 has a three-light sliding sash window with diamond leading. There are three ridge chimneys. The interior has not been inspected. The row forms a group with numbers 3, 5, 7, and 9 on the opposite side of the lane.
