Description

This is a terrace of four houses located at 44 to 50 Catharine Street, built in the 1830s. The houses are constructed of stucco and topped with a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays on the front. There is a sill band on the first floor, a cornice at the top, and a blocking course. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. Each entrance features an Ionic porch adorned with honeysuckle friezes. The properties have iron area railings with decorative heads and iron balconies above the first-floor windows and porches, although No 50 does not have balconies.
