Description

This house was built in the 1830s. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings, and has a slate roof. It is three storeys high, with a basement, and has two bays. The design includes a horizontal band above the basement, another above the first-floor windows, a top frieze, cornice, and a blocking course. The windows have wedge-shaped lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars above the ground floor. The entrance is round-headed and features an Ionic doorcase. Iron railings and decorative heads are present on the area and steps, and the railings are supported by stone gate piers. A second-floor iron fire escape connects the building with number 8 Edge Lane.
