Description

The Hollies is a house built around 1840, featuring a stucco exterior and a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-by-three bay layout. The first floor has a sill band and a cornice at the top. The windows are set within architraves, with decorative cartouches in the upper corners; the first-floor windows have a shouldered design. Most windows are sashed with glazing bars, except for the ground floor where the left window is blind and the right window has a casement. The entrance is framed by an architrave with a frieze and a cornice supported by consoles, leading to a half-glazed door. The facade facing Prescot Road is similar, featuring a top pediment with an oval ornament flanked by scrolls. The raking cornice has been boarded over since 1984.
