Description
House dated 1816 on the rainwater head, located at 171 Chatham Street. It is built of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys with a basement and features three bays. There is a first-floor sill band, a top cornice, and a blocking course. The house has later two-storey canted bay windows and one window with a wedge lintel above the entrance. The windows are sashed without glazing bars, and the window over the door has a casement. The central round-headed entrance includes a glazed doorcase and a two-panel door. There are plain iron railings to the area and steps, along with two iron lamp standards, although there are no lamps present.
