Description
Head Game Keepers Cottage is a cottage built in the 1870s by J. Douglas. It is constructed of brick with blue brick and stone dressings, featuring a patterned roof made of green and blue slates with red tile cresting. The cottage is one storey high and consists of four bays, with the end bay projecting under a gabled roof. It has paired two-light windows, with the end bays featuring segmental heads. The gable above these windows has a tile-hung upper part and a lunette vent. There are two paired circular stacks. The right side of the cottage has a projecting gabled bay similar to the front, along with a segmental-headed window that contains a three-light small-paned casement with leaded upper lights. The entrance features a shouldered lintel with an incised cross moline. The angle of the building has two-light casements and a stone bench. There is a similar range of features at the rear of the cottage.
