Description
The Bridge is a house built around 1880, constructed of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic and features three bays. There are rectangular bay windows on both the left and right sides of the entrances; the right bay window extends two storeys and includes sill bands, cornices, and embattled parapets, along with 4-light mullioned and transomed windows. The entrance is accented by buttresses and is flanked by incised brackets that support an oriel window above. The first floor is corbelled out and showcases planted timbers. The first bay features a 5-light projecting timber window with a cornice, topped by a gable that has timber framing and pargeted panels arranged in tall rows. The oriel window above the entrance has a 3-light configuration, a cornice, and a hipped roof. The left side of the building, facing the lane, includes a similar gable and two tall chimney stacks.
