Description
Bridge House is a house dating from the 1870s. It is constructed of common brick with red brick and stone dressings, and has a tiled roof. The house is two storeys with an attic, and has a three-by-four bay layout. A dentil cornice runs along the top of the building. The first bay features a two-storey rectangular bay window. The windows have mullions and cornices; the first-floor windows are ornamented with decorative terracotta panels below. The elliptical-headed attic windows are decorated with swags in their tympana, and feature pediments. The attic window in the first bay is a three-light window with a pediment and a stepped gable containing a cartouche beneath a segmental pediment. The recessed entrance is topped with a segmental head and has panelled pilasters and foliated spandrels. On the right return, a clustered stack is positioned at the corner. Two-storey bay windows, one of which is canted, flank a timber loggia, and elaborate gables are above the attic windows.
