Description
This house, located at No. 6 Duffus, was built in the 1880s. It is constructed of common brick, featuring red brick and stone dressings, and has a tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and is arranged in three bays. The central bay projects forward and is topped with an entablature that has a pulvinated frieze. There is a string course above the ground floor, a sill course on the first floor, and coved eaves adorned with Jacobean plasterwork.
The ground floor windows are casements, and there is a central canted bay window with a parapet that includes terracotta panels. The first floor features 2:3:2-light windows with sash frames. A central tripartite dormer with a pediment is flanked by canted roof dormers that have hipped roofs and small-paned casements. The house has tall end stacks. To the left side, there is a porch that includes an arched window with leaded lights.
