Description
Gledhill is a house dated 1881, located on Mossley Hill Drive. It is built of red brick with stone dressings, featuring some timber framing and a tiled roof. The building has an irregular, primarily L-shaped plan and is designed in a Domestic Revival style. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has an irregular pattern of bays. The first two bays are single storey. The first bay projects and includes a gable and a tall chimney with an inglenook window on the left side. The entrance features a four-centred arch with carved spandrels and a label mould above the datestone. Above the entrance, there is an oriel window with a hipped roof that is part of the main roof. The attic has a gable that is interrupted by a tall stack to the right of the entrance. On the right side, the first bay has a two-storey polygonal bay window with a hipped roof, and the first floor displays pargeted panels. The third bay projects under a gable, while the fourth bay features a timbered dormer with two gables. The last two bays are single storey, with two dormers and an octagonal lantern at the end.
