Description

Bowden Fountain is a drinking fountain dated 1911, located at Mill Bank. It has a square stone plan with diagonal buttresses and oval bowls on the returns. The fountain features a broad cornice topped with a bronze lantern. A bronze plaque on the fountain reads "THE THOMAS BOWDEN FOUNTAIN ERECTED BY HIS SISTER 1911", while a rear plaque states "ERECTED BY MRS HUGH McCUBBIN".
