Description
No. 42 Ullet Road is a house built in the 1860s, featuring a stucco exterior and a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has five bays, with the central bay recessed and lower windows. It has a top frieze and cornice, while the fourth and fifth bays include a band over the ground floor and first floor sill course. The third bay is distinguished by consoled cornices over both the ground and first floors, along with a top panelled frieze.
The windows are sash style with architraves and lack glazing bars, although the third bay windows feature fixed glazing. The ground floor second bay has paired windows, and the third bay showcases a five-bay blind arcade with archivolts and keys. The end bay has a frieze and cornice above the window. Notably, the third bay includes a first-floor Venetian window adorned with busts in roundels above the side lights, complemented by a consoled cornice and a central segmental pediment. The end bays have friezes and pediments above their windows. On the second floor, the third bay features three round-headed lights with shafts and archivolts with keys, while the end bays each have one window topped with a pediment above the cornice. The entrance, located in the fourth bay, has a segmental head and a rusticated surround.
