Description

A terrace of five houses built in the 1830s on Huskisson Street. The buildings are constructed of stucco with a slate roof. They are three storeys high with a basement, featuring three bays per house. The exterior has a decorative band at the basement lintel level, sill bands to the first and second floors, a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The ground floor windows have architraves and panelled aprons, and are sash windows with no glazing bars. First-floor windows have architraves and casements. Second-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Each house has entrances with angle pilasters and entablatures, alongside iron railings to the areas and steps, which are ornamented with arrow heads. Iron balconies are present on the first floor, though those at No. 40 are replacements from the 20th century. The doors include six-panel doors at Nos. 32 and 34; a four-panel door with battered upper panels and a complete overlight at No. 36; a six-panel door with a complete overlight at No. 38; and a half-glazed door at No. 40.
