Description

The street lamp at the junction with Allerton Road is a Grade II listed lamp standard, dated 1873, made of cast iron. It features a large iron lamp situated on a small roundabout at the road junction. The base is adorned with four lion-headed, foliated scrolls and has a long tapering standard with vertical rope mouldings, along with acanthus and palm designs at the base. The lamp includes two cross arms with scrolled supports and three lampholders that currently hold 20th-century lamps.
