Description

This is a terrace of five houses located on Church Road, Woolton, built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of stone with a slate roof. They are two storeys high with a basement, and feature a single bay for each house, with the first bay forming a return to number 8, which, along with number 8A, presents a facade to the street. A sill band runs along the first floor, and there is a top cornice. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, with one window on the first floor of the first bay being blind. The entrances are round-headed, featuring surrounds with two roll mouldings, imposts, and keys, along with blind fanlights and six-panel doors. The facade facing the street has four bays; the first bay projects forward under a gable, and the other bays are also under gables. Number 8 has a round-headed entrance in the third bay, with surrounds featuring three roll mouldings. Number 8A has an entrance within a lean-to porch on its left return.
