Description

The Field is a cottage dated 1740, constructed of brick with a slate roof. It has two storeys and three bays, featuring gable stacks. The windows are horizontal sliding-sash, with those on the ground floor set beneath brick-arched segmental heads. The central entrance door is half-glazed and dates from the early 20th century, set in an altered opening. Above the door is an inscribed datestone that reads 'W T:L/ 1740'. The right-hand bay of the facade is obscured by foliage.
