Description
Manor House Farmhouse, built in 1692 and altered later, is a two-storey house with a stable adjoining to the east. It is constructed of slobbered rubble with a slate roof and brick chimneys. The house features three bays; the first two bays have sashed windows with plain stone surrounds on the ground floor and 3-light rebated and chamfered mullioned windows above. The right-hand bay has similar mullioned windows, with four lights on the ground floor and three above. Between the first and second bays, there is a one-light stair window at an intermediate level. Above the door, located between the second and third bays, there is a blocked one-light window. The door has a chamfered surround with a battlemented lintel inscribed with 'W AT W 1692'. There are chimneys on the left-hand gable and to the right of the door. The stable to the right has a window with glazing bars and a plain stone surround, along with an outshut on part of the rear wall. The east gable wall of the stable features a lintel re-set over a door with plain reveals, inscribed with 'IC 1716'.
