Description

This milestone, dating from the late 18th century, is made of painted sandstone and features cast-iron plates. It has a half-oval shape with a rounded top. The base is inscribed with the word 'CATTERALL'. Above this, there are two iron panels with moulded borders. The left panel reads: 'To Garstang 1 3/4 Miles', while the right panel states: 'To Preston 9 Miles'.
