Description

The medieval cross base is made of sandstone and is located in the verge next to Preston Lancaster Road (A6), at the west end of Ripon Place in Catterall. The unshaped sandstone boulder measures approximately 1 meter by 0.8 meters by 0.73 meters. It features a shallow square socket on the upper surface, which is 0.3 meters square and about 0.05 meters deep.
