Description
Whiteledge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1693, with alterations made since. It is constructed of painted, coursed sandstone rubble with a composition tile roof. The building follows a T-plan, consisting of a two-unit main range to which a rear wing is attached. The original design featured two low storeys and two windows, presented in a near-symmetrical arrangement. A small, gabled porch, constructed of painted brick, was added centrally. Windows are oblong shaped, and were boarded at the time of inspection, with the exception of a 3-light casement window on the first floor to the right. The gables have chimneys. A brick buttress is present on the left corner, and a steel tie-rod is wrapped around the building at first floor level. The right-hand gable displays one window on each floor; the lower window is covered by metal shutters, and the upper window has been altered, with a recessed datestone inscribed "1693". A short rear wing is attached, featuring a lean-to porch in the angle and no other openings.
