Description
Lund's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century or very early 18th century, with alterations and possibly re-cladding in the later 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond (5+1) and features a stone slate roof. The building has a single-depth, three-unit plan, which originally included a baffle-entry, and there are later additions at the rear.
The farmhouse is two storeys high with three windows on the front. There is a plain doorway located at the junction of the second and third bays, which is protected by a 20th-century glazed porch. Each floor has three 20th-century three-light casements, all with raised sills and rectangular lintels. A large square ridge chimney is positioned at the junction of the second and third bays, featuring bands, panelled sides, and a cornice. At the rear, there are two single-storey 19th-century lean-tos.
Inside, the hall or housepart contains two large chamfered lateral beams with unusual jewel stops. The farmhouse forms a group with an associated barn located approximately 5 metres to the east.
