Canal lock-keeper's cottage, now private dwelling. c.1781, altered. Roughcast render painted white, composition tile roof. Rectangular 2-unit plan at right-angles to canal, the left gable built into the raised towpath. Two low storeys and 2 windows, all 3-light casements with raised sills and altered glazing. Gable chimneys. Entrance in right-hand gable wall, now covered by large glazed C20 porch or conservatory. Included for group value.
