Description
The walls enclosing three sides of the Friends' Burial Ground date from 1880 and earlier. This burial ground was acquired by the Quakers in 1665. The walls are constructed of squared sandstone blocks. The wall on the south-east side was rebuilt in 1880 and features saddlebacked coping. In the center, there are gatepiers with a square plan, cornices, and pyramidal caps. The gates are made of wrought iron. Additionally, low retaining walls with copings are present on the north-east and north-west sides.
