Description

A farmhouse, likely dating from the mid-19th century, with some earlier elements. The house is constructed of pebbledashed brick with sandstone and artificial stone dressings, and has a slate roof. The main section of the house consists of three bays, featuring a plinth, chamfered quoins, and a sill band to the first floor. The windows have lugged architraves and decorative keystones. The left-hand bay has a sash window on the ground floor. The first-floor window in this bay is a 20th-century casement window with glazing bars; the ground-floor window to the right is similar. The two remaining first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The front door has a plain surround and a cornice supported on decorated brackets. Gable chimneys are present. A lower, one-bay wing extends to the right, characterized by chamfered quoins on its right-hand side and horizontal sash windows with glazing bars. The interior was inaccessible during the survey, but is reportedly notable for including boarded doors with strap hinges, hewn beams, and a staircase with a closed string and flat balusters.
