Description

The barn at Home Farm dates back to 1704 and is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond, resting on a sandstone plinth. It features a corrugated asbestos roof. The south wall has a central wide entrance with plain reveals and three rows of breathers. The north wall also has breathers and is partially obscured by a 20th-century lean-to, which is not included in the listing. The east gable wall includes a pitching door, and above it is a sandstone plaque inscribed with 'RWE 1704'. The interior is said to have a roof consisting of three bays supported by queen-post trusses.
