Description
Aughton House is a house built in 1805. It is constructed of roughcast brick and has a slate roof. The building features a double-depth plan and is two storeys high with two bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and have painted stone lintels and sills. The doorway, located between the bays, has a stone surround with a round head, impost blocks, and a keystone. The door itself has two vertical panels and is topped by a fanlight with gothick glazing. Above the door, there is a plaque inscribed with 'PAE[?] 1805'. The house has gable chimneys positioned in front of the ridge and at the rear on the right. Inside, there is a dog-leg stair with turned newels and stick balusters.
