Description
The carriage house at Lydiate House, likely built in the early 18th century, is constructed from narrow-coursed stone and features a stone slate roof. The entrance is located in the west gable end and has a large lintel. On the north side, there are indications of a wide entrance that has been blocked, with a window now inserted in its place. Inside, the structure consists of three bays and includes king post trusses with curved principal rafters, which are believed to be reused cruck trusses.
