Description

The Old Windmill is a late 18th-century windmill tower, later converted into a house. It was altered in the mid-to-late 20th century. The structure is built of rendered brick with a conical slate roof and has a circular plan. The sides of the tower are noticeably battered. It rises three storeys in height, and windows, dating to the 20th century and featuring glazing bars, are set within segmental-headed openings on two sides of each floor. A doorway on the north side has been filled with glazing. 20th-century extensions adjoin the windmill to the east.
