Description

Two fragments of rectangular carved stone, likely from the late medieval period, are mounted on a pedestal made of stone blocks, located approximately 20 metres south of the Church of St. Andrew. The carvings are incomplete but feature the torso of a robed figure, two letters, and a five-pointed star. On the south face of the pedestal, there is a stone plaque inscribed with the names T. Baldwin, A.M. T. Gregson, W. Lathem, J. Blackledge, and R. Ainsworth, identified as Church Wardens from 1759.
