Description
Nos. 94, 96, and 98 Fox Lane are a row of three cottages that are part of a group of five Farington Almshouse Trust Cottages, which includes Nos. 92 to 100. The cottages are built from brick and feature a graded slate roof. They have a rectangular plan and are symmetrical, standing at one and a half storeys tall. There is one ridge chimney stack on each side of the center, along with an external chimney stack attached to the front wall at each end, which rises through the eaves. The cottages have three gabled porches with round-arched openings, wavy bargeboards, and finials. There are four three-light casement windows with straight dripmoulds, and four gabled attic dormers that contain two-light casements, also with wavy bargeboards and finials.
