Description
The watchhouse, located at the east side of the churchyard of St. Andrews Church and approximately 10 metres south of the Old Grammar School, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone with tooled faces and features a slate roof with overhanging eaves. The building consists of a single rectangular cell and is a single storey high. The gable wall facing the churchyard has an arched window that contains three cinquefoil lights, with the centre light being ogival in shape. On the north side wall, there is a plain doorway topped with an arched stone lintel.
