Description

This is a mid-19th century building of stone construction, originally comprising four properties, now numbered 4 to 8 Church Brow. The building is two storeys high and features two gables, each with carved bargeboards and a single window. Each gable window is set within the gable itself. The first floor has two windows, and the central section of the building has two windows. On the ground floor, there are three windows, each with two lights, all set within stone surrounds. Each property has a six-panel door topped with a fanlight, all contained within a rectangular dripmould featuring human mask terminals and carved foliated spandrels. The building is included in the list due to its group value, forming part of a wider grouping with numbers 22 and 24 Church Street.
