Description

The bridge over Arley Brook, built around 1800, carries the drive to Woodfold Hall, which is located in Mellor. It is constructed of ashlar and features a single semicircular arch made of rusticated voussoirs. The bridge includes pilasters, a moulded cornice, and balustraded parapets with panelled piers and moulded coping that curves outward over the abutments. A portion of this structure is situated in Mellor, within the Ribble Valley District.
