Description

Middle Lodge with gates and railings is a pair of lodges built for Woodfold Hall, likely in the 1790s by James Wyatt. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar and topped with slate roofs. Each lodge is a single storey and has a square plan, connected by iron railings with gates. Both lodges feature a cornice with a blocking course and have a facade that consists of one bay, with the central part slightly projecting forward. The east sides include blind windows set within architraves that have triangular pediments. Each lodge facing the drive has a door adorned with an architrave and pediment. The west sides were not visible during the survey.
