Description
The premises occupied by the Tourist Information Office have early 19th century origins and were refronted in the 19th century. The building is two storeys high, rough rendered, and has a slate roof. It features four windows on the upper floor that are hung sashes with glazing bars, and there are stone quoins on the sides of the windows. The ground floor has one similar window with two arched lights and a doorway with an arched door beneath a blank panel, which is topped by a four-light fanlight. There is also one slightly segmental window with stone ornament and another doorway to the left. This building is included as part of a group with the Andrew Carnegie Public Library, Town Hall, No 4, and Church Court, forming a group with Nos 6 to 12 (even).
