Description
Higher Lickhurst Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from squared watershot sandstone and has a slate roof. The building features a double-pile plan with a central entrance and end stacks. It stands two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are of three lights and have square mullions. The door surround is decorated with Tuscan pilasters, a narrow pulvinated frieze, and a moulded pediment. The right-hand (east) chimney has been capped with brick, while the left-hand gable is hung with slate. At the rear, there is a stair window with a plain stone surround and a segmental head.
