Description
Wardsley Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features two bays with end stacks. The windows are all three-light designs with plain stone surrounds and square stone mullions. The front door also has a plain stone surround. To the left of the main entrance is a third unit that is currently blank. On the ground floor, there is a wide entrance that has been blocked, featuring a stone lintel. The right-hand gable includes a stair window with a plain stone surround, a semi-circular head, a transom, and small panes. The rear wall has two windows with two lights and square mullions on each floor, along with a central door that has a plain stone surround. The third unit on the right side has a door with a plain stone surround and a two-light window with a square mullion.
