Description
The Vicarage at the Church of St John Evangelist is a vicarage built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with sandstone dressings and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a facade with chamfered quoins, a first-floor sill band, and a cyma moulded stone cornice gutter. The structure is three bays wide, with sash windows that have glazing bars and plain stone surrounds. The right-hand bay contains a door with a plain stone surround, which is sheltered by an open glazed timber porch. There are gable stacks, and the left-hand (south) gable features a door with a plain stone surround and moulded imposts, set within a timber porch that has decorative bargeboards.
