Description

This is a mid-19th century building on the west side of Market Place. It is three storeys high and has a rendered facade with a moulded eaves cornice. The building has two windows on each of the two upper storeys, featuring stone surrounds and modern glazing. A 19th-century shop front is present. A row of octagonal stone chimney stacks is located to the right, resembling those of the White Lion Hotel. Buildings 1 to 9 (odd numbers), 5A and 7A, together with the White Lion Hotel, form a group. Numbers 7 and 7A are buildings of local interest only.
