Description

This early 19th-century building occupies three storeys on Market Place. It is rendered with a slate roof. Originally, it had two windows with stone surrounds. A late 19th-century shop front, featuring Ionic pilasters with marked entasis, now interrupts the original façade. A passage entry is present, and a modern shop front and a door leading to number 5A have been added. Numbers 1 to 9 (odd numbers), 5A and 7A, along with the White Lion Hotel, form a group, although numbers 7 and 7A are considered buildings of local interest only.
