Public house and attached shop. Mid C19, altered. Brown brick, No.89 (George Hotel) with painted stucco facade, and No.90 painted. Double-depth plan. Three storeys over cellar, 3+2 windows. No.89 is symmetrical, has channelled rustication at ground floor and raised quoins above, and a plain frieze and prominent moulded cornice; central doorway with moulded architrave (lintel inscribed "GEORGE HOTEL 1922") and a bracketed cornice; cellar windows with iron grills, ground floor windows with altered glazing, and sashed windows on the upper floors; and side-wall chimneys in front and behind the ridge. Immediately to the right is a large basket-arched wagon entrance to an entry through No.90, which has voussoirs linked to the rustication of No.89; otherwise, No.90 has a C19 shop front at ground floor, 2 sashed windows on each floor above, a frieze and cornice continued from No.89, and side-wall chimneys. INTERIOR of No.89: mosaic tiled floor to porch lettered "GEORGE HOTEL", and some other early C20 tiling.
