Description

This is a town house, likely dating to the 1820s or 1830s, and altered since. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with sandstone dressings, and a slate roof. The building has a double-depth single-fronted plan with a rear extension. It is three storeys high, including a cellar, and has a three-window front. A sill band runs along the first floor, and a moulded gutter cornice accents the top. A round-headed doorway is located on the right side, featuring a doorcase with engaged Tuscan columns, a plain frieze, and a moulded cornice. The panelled door is topped by a semicircular fanlight. The windows have raised sills and wedge lintels, but their glazing has been altered. A gable chimney is positioned on the left side. The rear of the building and the interior remain unexamined. The property forms a group with number 16 to the right.
