Description
Lancashire Gill is a house built in 1677, with some alterations. It is constructed of rubble and has a white-washed finish, topped with a stone slate roof. The front features a plain doorway, and all but one of the windows have chamfered stone mullions, although most have been altered. On the ground floor, there is a 2-light window and two 3-light windows, which were originally 4-light windows; one of these has a returned drip label above it. The first floor includes an 18th-century 3-light window, originally a 4-light, and a 2-light window that was formerly a 3-light. The rear door displays the date 1677 inscribed on the exposed lintel. The outshut has later windows, and there are gable chimneys.
