House. c1800, altered later C19. Sandstone ashlar with slate roof, hipped on the right. Rectangular plan, with a central entrance, on a shallow site on the corner of Dalton Square. 3 storeys and 3 bays, with a basement, expressed as a plinth and built of larger stones, a moulded gutter cornice, and a large chimney stack on the left-hand gable. The raised entrance is approached by a flight of 6 steps with nosings, built parallel to the wall and protected by iron-bar railings with a ramped handrail and turned baluster standards with urn finials. The doorway has plain reveals under a cornice on fluted consoles, and narrow double doors with 3 panels each. The windows including those in the one-bay return wall to Dalton Square have plain reveals and are sashed without glazing bars. The 2 cellar openings are partly blocked and partly glazed.
