Description
No. 20 Hala Road is a house dating from the 17th century, with significant remodelling in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of rendered rubble and features coped gables, gable stacks, and a slated roof. It has three storeys and two bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes set within plain stone surrounds. The central doorway is adorned with a painted cyma-moulded surround and has a drip mould above the lintel, which is carved with a basket arch and the initials 'EM IM 1698'. The rear elevation includes a semicircular-headed stair window and a former two-light rebated and chamfered window, which now has the mullion removed.
